Oldfield Park, Bath - Four Residential Dwellings

Key Skills: Pre-application advice

Category: Residential Development

Loss of poor quality tree

LPA: Bath & North East Somerset Council

The Project

The site currently consists of a bungalow however, due to the size of the site we were able to advise on the optimum development potential resulting in the submission for pre-application advice for the erection of four dwellings following the demolition of the bungalow. A significant constraint on the site was a large tree in the front garden which severely limited the development potential, however after consulting with a Tree Consultant, it was discovered the tree was in a poor condition, had a limited life and was unlikely to be worthy of a Tree Preservation Order.

Working with a well renowned Bath Architect, a comprehensive scheme for the redevelopment of the site to erect a terrace of four high quality dwellings, with parking at the rear, was developed and submitted for pre-application advice.

Positive pre-application advice has been received from the Council and we are now working up an application for outline planning permission.
